SKYDOME PLANETARIUM
MY TRIP
Today my class and I all went to the sky dome it was fun .When we went in to the sky dome it was dark then we learned all about the moon. Mars moves slower then the other planets. Then we saw pictures in the stars. He showed us the Earth from the moon. Then we saw the North Star and all stars are not white they could be brown and when it was over when we got out and we went back to school. It was fun. By Rachel.
Skydome
We all went to the Skydome on the 27th of October 2011. It was in the G.A.A. club in Rush because our hall was not big enough. We walked down at 10 o’ clock and we arrived just on time. After a few minutes we went inside the dome and sat down. First we looked at a group of stars called the Ursa Major. This group of stars looked like a bear. People a long time ago looked up at the stars and could tell when summer and winter were coming. The people in Egypt would look up to the stars and they would know when or when not the River Nile would burst open on top of the land. That is why Egypt became rich because the water would make the farmers crops grow and then they would sell it for gold. After that we learned about the sun and places in the sky it would be at certain times of the year. The last part that we did had to be quick because the next class had to come. The last thing was on the planets and their real size compared to the sun. Then sadly we had to go back to school but I would have loved to stay and learn more.
